Tradeshows and Holiday Weekends and Houseguests … oh my! I came home to a wonderful surprise. I adore my landlords, I have been out of the studio a lot this month and I arrived ready to get printing and found that they had spent 3 days scraping these old tin ceiling tiles and installed them just like the good old days, complete with homemade cornice. I am giddy.

As promised, a little recap movie from the BIG move last week. The BirdDog Press is happily adjusting to her new home, she got a little steel wool bath too! Oh so pampered.

walls & trim painted. check. layout planned. check. I’ve come so far, but yet have so much to do! The biggest obstacle being getting a 1200-pound press out of my garage > down the street > across hwy 66 > over some stonework and into the cute little french doors of my new studio. yes, really.

If anyone has any brilliant ideas about how best to accomplish that. I’m all ears. This isn’t to say that I am without ideas or leads. I just haven’t found the winner yet.

We are moving out of our home studio and in to a little haven here in Lyons as of today! This is the inspiration board that we have created to influence organization, color and spark in our new space where we look forward to meeting with clients and creating beautiful things in 2009.

So, I took my little boy to the Denver Aquarium last Saturday along with his “Agi” {that’s short for grandmother in Cherokee} … anywhooo …

We were killing some time down in on the Broadway Antique district and I came across this site. Gasp!

I LOVE this old gas station and had dreamy late afternoon visions of having this type of building to house the whole Bozeman Collaborative and, more importantly, the BirdDog Press. It is just perfect with the nostalgic look and garage doors plenty big enough for presses and bindery equipment to move in.

Someday.

Been working hard the last couple of weeks to get a real workable space going for all of my design efforts. I have two new worktables, and several new shelving solutions …. ahh, just think how much more productive I will be. Plus it looks so much more presentable, well you should have seen the before photo …
