My hero has been sung today! Check out my husband, Ben, on Heart Handmade : the Other Half. Big thanks to Marichelle. Here we are during the holidays pre-kiddo with Siler {the BirdDog} on a hike near Basalt, Colorado. And I have a fairly new wood type stationery catalog for download which he mentions in this interview. Okay, off to drop the little one at Montessori and get to printing more stuff to take to Stationery Show with me on Saturday …

i think i can

My little guy is loving some classics right now including The Little Engine That Could and it’s mantra is one I am repeating for my own self this week as I prepare to head to NYC for the National Stationery Show May 17th-20th. I am not exhibiting this year, but I am going to network, distribute promos and press kits, attend seminars, mingle and source materials for new product I have in prototype mode. This version of the book was published in 1954{it was mine when i was little} and I smile when I read the part about the freight engine that is too important to pull the toy train because it carries big machines to print books for adults – I imagine my press was carried on a train once. At any rate, I’ll be chugging along this week … I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can!

So much work for the National Stationery Show has meant a little less time on the press lately. And now, I’ll be off to the BiG Apple for a week. I sure will miss that century old hunk of iron and all of it’s funky noises and quirks. Luckily, there is all kinds of fun presswork lined up for when I return from NYC. Biz Cards and Weddings and New Babies – Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy!

ps. Check out my fun collection of vintage wood type available for funky monogrammed notecards, coasters or writing sheets!

A sneak peek at two of the Twirly-Gigs Greetings designs to be offered to the retail world at the National Stationery Show (Booth #3867) in less than a month in New York City! These cards are printed on plantable paper from Porridge. Cheers to Mother Earth!
