Celebrate 5 Calluna

calluna5f

Rounding out this whopper of a Wedding Wednesday, I must shout out the Calluna Events 5th Anniversary Celebration earlier this year. I have had the pleasure of working on many a wedding with Heather over the years, and here’s cheers to many more.

yellow, i’m in love

I completely adore the color yellow right now. I am usually more of an orange kind of girl. I love color really, but back to the point, speaking of love and color. I am especially loving yellow weddings. Is it just that brides who choose the color yellow are more creative? Check out these yellow weddings and swoon along with me …

This pom pom toss is about the cutest thing i’ve ever seen. And the bouquet? I’m speechless. I originally found this on Style Me Pretty, but a full showing of photos can be found at Erin Hearts Court.

I mean, upside down tulips hanging over the tables? Stunning. This one also from Style Me Pretty with photos by Our Labor of Love.

In closing, I must mention here that my fav-o-rite wedding clients of the year incorporated pops of yellow with some fabulous forsythia and a canary caboose, this wedding was just featured on Style Me Pretty, showcasing some of my wonderful wedding colleagues including : Kim of Tee&Cakes, Heather of Calluna Events and Katie of Jenna Walker Photography.

quick and dirty

Wood Block Letterpress, originally uploaded by Andrew-Hyde.

Well, at least somebody is blogging about the BirdDog Press this week! Had a fast and furious visit with Andrew Hyde this morning and man is he on it! We’ve now got new video and some amazing shots of the studio. Thrilled to be collaborating on some Andrew Hyde business cards soon.

Meanwhile, we are happily swamped in the studio with wonderful wedding madness and all sorts of other interesting projects. Had the pleasure of contributing to the Calluna Events 5th Anniversary Party this past weekend and are heading out this weekend to South Carolina to attend a wedding, and when we return we have a new plan for keeping fresh content on this blog, so stay tuned!

Speaking of fresh content, we will be back to producing our monthly newsletter starting April 14th, so sign up here if you want to get some members-only goodness delivered to your inbox once per month!

As a parallel to Heather from Calluna Events blog post today, I was reminded that I haven’t posted anything about the weddings I’ve been working on lately, and there have been many. I am thrilled to have so many spring brides and even a wonderful winter bride. I will echo Heather saying that Kristin was such a joy to work with, and although she thought she was lacking in the creative department, she had a brilliant vision for her day – “chronicles of narnia, before the thaw”

And so we came up with a textured white on white design of handsketched winterberries, velvet ribbon and a dash of midnight blue, all pulled together with a wax seal. nick loves kristin!
