last year at the stationery show, i debuted some little hand stitched notebooks with mixed lined & quadrilled pages and inside pockets. i wanted to find a way to have a closure on these idea jotters. elastic bands seemed so boring and i tried to find fun colored ones, but the minimum orders were prohibitive. my granny sends me bags of old buttons sometimes {and lots and lots of vintage feedsack fabric} so i thought i’d try a string & button solution. love how it finishes the vintage theme with the layering of feedsack pattern designs and also looks quite modern at the same time. each one is one of a kind.
